The Study tour provided a great opportunity to take time to explore different approaches to service models in aged care and to be able to reflect on how these could help with improving the quality of the service we provide. I have only touched on a couple of highlights however the week provided a view of the Netherlands healthcare system and was well worth the time and effort to participate. Travelling around the Netherlands was easy due to a great transport system and I found nearly all Dutch speak English are very open and want to share their knowledge. My thanks and appreciation go to Jan and Marian for all their hard work in organising a great tour. Care Metric are hoping to offer this tour again in the future and I would recommend participating if the opportunity is offered. Particularly if you are looking at innovative solutions to your aged care provision. The next study tour is planned from the 6-10 of May 2019.
